The Europro event returned in October of 2016, showcasing many of the young players who were contending for their place on the Challenge Tour, the final step to the main European Tour.

From 2023 the resort is host to the second stage of the DP World Tour Q School.

One of the recent visitors was three times European Tour Winner and Sky Golf pundit Nick Dougherty, and this is what he had to say about the resort:

“The resort is one of the best golf resorts I have been to in Europe. The facilities for practice are second to none and Desert Springs is a great place for players of all standards to come to improve their game and have fun at the same time.

The location and host facilities were absolutely beyond our expectations and the accommodation provided was excellent. The resort staff were overly helpful, friendly and amazing!”

The course was designed by Peter McEvoy and this is what he has to say about it:

"We have created a course which really can be enjoyed by players of all different standards, we have kept the fairways generous and ensured that the less expert player can enjoy and improve his game whilst absorbing the awesome landscape and views that encompass The Indiana.

On the other hand, every hole has features which can be brought into play; the springs, watercourses, dry river beds, rock and cactus areas and bunkers are strategically located to examine the skills of golf's leading players when playing off the championship t18th
