Introduction
I have been a member of the PGA of Great Britain and Ireland for 40 years. I have been operating my golf tuition holidays around the World for 25 years.
My Spanish holidays have been based in the beautiful Costa Almeria region of southern Spain. This area is the hottest, driest region of mainland Europe with over 320 days sunshine each year, making it the best region for Autumn, Winter and Spring holidays.
For the last 14 years I have lived in this area holding positions at Desert Springs Resort of Golf Operations Manager and Head Professional. Whilst I have now finished working at the resort, I still operate my tuition holidays there.
Golf Tuition Holidays
Golf tuition holidays are a great way for Professionals to earn money from coaching during the cold, wet, dark winter days of northern Europe and they also help Pros to foster and enhance relationships with their members and clients.
The two main Resorts that we use in this area, Desert Springs and Valle Del Este offer fantastic coaching facilities and great golf courses that will ensure that your customers have a first class experience.
Our Resorts.
Desert Springs
On of the jewels in the Spanish golfing crown. The resort has hosted stage 2 of the DP World Tour qualifying school for the last 5 years in addition to lots of other international and domestic professional and amateur events. The resort regularly hosts regular international teams from across Europe including English, Scottish and Welsh national teams for winter coaching breaks. Practise facilities include a large grass driving range, a large chipping and pitching green with bunkers and two large putting greens. The golf course is a great experience and is unlike any other outside of the desert courses of Arizona. Whilst it is not overly long it has 18 very individual holes, narrow fairways and sloping greens which are always in superb condition making it a thoroughly enjoyable course for people of all abilities. There is not a hotel at Desert Springs instead accommodation is in apartments, townhouses or villas, however this does not mean that it’s a self-catering holiday, all of the properties are within walking distance of the clubhouse where breakfast, lunch and dinner can be taken. Many people prefer this as it gives the extra room and facilities of an apartment without having to cook!
Valle Del Este
Around 20 minutes from Desert Springs is the superb resort of Valle Del Este that has also hosted many international events. Again, the resort has amazing practice facilities with a choice of a covered range complete with Top Tracer in each bay or a large grass range, it also has a quite incredible short game area it has a large pitching and chipping green with bunkers which can be reserved solely for your group and two excellent putting greens. The course is a lovely 18-hole course, again with very individual holes. It has generous fairways and large greens and views of the Mediterranean making it hugely enjoyable for a holiday golf course. Valle del Este has a lovely hotel and spa. Rooms are spacious and modern with all having a view of the golf course and many with additional sea views. The resort also benefits a from an adjacent commercial centre which has other bars and restaurants.
What We Offer
We have been here and running these holidays for 14 years and as a result will be on hand to help or advise with any part of your holiday. If you would like to take your party to a different golf course, we have preferential rates and tee times at those courses. In addition to Desert Springs and Valle Del Este there is another fantastic course locally called Aguilon, we don’t use it for our ‘stay’ packages as there’s no accommodation and practice facilities are not as good but it’s a great golf course and well worth a visit. So, you can coach at your chosen resort in a morning and play a different course in the afternoon if required.

Legally we cannot book flights for your party, however, we can advise on the best options for you. This area is served by three main airports: Alicante which is around 2 hours transfer time, Murcia which is about 1.5 hours and Almeria is about an hour.

Using our experience and knowledge of the area and resorts, developed over many years we are able to tailor make a package to suit you and your group or groups exact requirements. You decide how much profit you want to make from your tuition holidays not us or a Travel Agent. Using information that you give to us with your requirements we will give you a single price, what you add on for your coaching services is entirely up to you. Both of our resorts will give you a free package on the same board basis as your group providing there are at least 8 paying guests so all that you have to build in is your air fare and spending money. It is also worth pointing out that this is one of the least expensive areas of Spain therefore you can offer your clients superb value for money whilst earning well for yourself.
