Following the success of our holidays to South Africa in 2018 and Cambodia and Vietnam this year, we are pleased to announce a new holiday for early 2020.  This will be a return to South Africa, taking in Cape Town and Franschhoek.

We can also now offer bespoke packages for Private Groups to South Africa, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Argentina, Uruguay, Brazil and Chile.  If you would like us to put a package together for your group, just let us know when and where and we will do the rest.


We will be returning to South Africa in February of 2020.  The holiday will be a two centre holiday, starting in Cape Town and finishing in Franschhoek in the Cape Winelands.

Sunday     16 02 20

OvernightThe Commodore Hotel, Victoria & Alfred Waterfront, Cape Town

Arrive Cape Town.  Transfer to our hotel at the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront in Cape Town. Check in and spend the rest of the day at leisure.  An opportunity to relax and get used to our surroundings on the V&A Waterfront.


 (Transfers are not included in the holiday price as guests are likely to be arriving on various different flights arriving at different times and some may already be in South Africa if they are booking a pre tour package.  Private transfers can be arranged and charged separately, on request. 


Monday       17 02 20

A free day for sightseeing, one option is to use the open top 'hop on hop off' bus that takes you around all of the main sights of The Mother City.  You can take the bus to Table Mountain and take the cable car to the top of one of the seven natural wonders of the world for some of the most spectacular views. 

Tuesday       18 02 20

09:00            Golfers - Meet in reception for transfer to Royal Cape Golf Club

Royal Cape Golf Club has played host to the South African Open on no fewer than 10 occasions.  It has a rich history that spans 130 years of proud tradition and has evolved into what it is today, a classic parkland course that provides a fine test of golf as well as a wonderful playing experience. The course is in superb year round condition with well grassed fairways, smooth greens and challenging bunkers.

10:30  TBC   1st tee ... Tee off at Royal Cape Golf Course – Golf round 1. 

Transport is arranged to transfer us back to our hotel after play.

Wednesday      19 02 20

Day:             Another day at leisure to relax, explore and enjoy Cape Town, perhaps with a to Robben Island.  Or book a sightseeing excursion perhaps further afield to the Cape Point, including the penguin colony at Boulders Beach.   (Further details on request.)

Thursday      20 02 20

09:00          Golfers - Meet in reception for group transfer to King David Mowbray Golf Club, around 15 minutes from the Waterfront.  Originally formed in 1910 it has hosted the South Africa Open on 7 occasions.  King David Mowbray is a parkland course, which provides an excellent test of golf.  The terrain is flat, but plenty of trees and water features make for an interesting experience, with the beauty of the mountain and abundant wild life dominating the scenery.

Transport is arranged to transfer us back to our hotel after play.


Friday    21 02 20

OvernightProtea Hotel, Franschhoek, Cape Winelands

11:00           We check out of The Commodore Hotel today and transfer to our hotel in Franschhoek in the heart of the Cape Winelands. Check in to our hotel and then we can take the opportunity to stroll into this historic and quaint town to explore the little shops, cafés and numerous restaurants in this the gourmet capital of South Africa.

Saturday         22 02 20

Day:                At leisure to relax or explore Franschhoek, perhaps visiting a winery for tasting and lunch. Saturday is market day in the town and the Franschhoek Village Market is full of stalls selling food, wine, arts and crafts and you can sit and listen to local jazz bands play under the shade of the trees.

Sunday     23 02 20

09:00           After breakfast, we transfer to nearby Pearl Valley Golf Club, surrounded by the Simonsberg and Drakenstein Mountains and bordered by vineyards and with the Berg River water hazard running through it.  The Jack Nicklaus signature-design course has been developed with strategies that make this a golf course the golfer has to think their way around.

Golf carts are compulsory and have been pre-paid here (no caddies).


Monday     24 02 20

After breakfast, we transfer to Erinvale Golf Club

Erinvale Golf and Country Club is situated at the foot of the Helderberg Mountains amid spectacular scenery.  It has played host to both the World Cup of Golf and the South African Open.

Tuesday       25 02 20

Day at leisure to relax or to sightsee, maybe a visit to nearby Stellenbosch or take a trip through the Winelands on the Franschhoek Wine Tram.

Wednesday       26 02 20

09:00           After breakfast, we transfer back to Erinvale Golf Club for our second round at this superb golf course.

Thursday       27 02 20

09:00           After breakfast, we transfer back to Pearl Valley Golf Club for our second round.

10:30TBC          1st tee ... Tee off at Pearl Valley – Golf Round 6

Golf carts are compulsory and have been pre-paid here (no caddies).

19:00            Join us for drinks prior to our Farewell Prize Giving Dinner (own account).


Friday      28 02 20

Morning:        At leisure an opportunty to pack or take a last stroll around Franschhoek to buy some last minute souveniers and enjoy a leisurely lunch at one of the many local restaurants. 

Afternoon     Check out and transfer to Cape Town International Airport for you chosen flight home.
